Meet 5 cats and kittens who will find second chances thanks to care
When cats are rescued, many of them need additional care and healing before they are ready to find their forever home. This is where nursing homes come into play. In the homes of cat lovers with a special healing gift, kittens get better from diseases, heal injuries, and learn to be part of families.
Have you ever thought about caring for a cat or kitten?
If so, there are so many reasons to help cats find their homes forever, even if that home isn’t your own. With 3 million cats entering shelters each year and only half that number finding homes, cats need all the help they can get. Caring for cats who might have succumbed to the circumstances will have the chance of long and healthy lives with people they love.
Let’s meet a few cats and kittens who have proven that caring can save lives and provide second chances.

Cat grooming saves lives
Hawk, one of the many lucky kittens cared for by the youngest old cat lady, had what foster mother Ashley called a bad twin. He was born with a kidney that just didn’t work and swelled so big that it’s a surprise the thing didn’t burst. But the adorable kitten made it through surgery with flying colors. Recently he was able to play with the other kittens again and soon he will be ready for adoption. Check out his before and after photo to see the difference!

Say hello to King Arthur from Music City Kitties! This noble boy came into the foster family with an eye infection and even though he wasn’t feeling well he was still a Lovebug who made cookies with the best. As a 10 year old older cat, Arthur found it harder to find his home forever as many people look for kittens first. Thanks to his devoted foster family, this king of cats has been adopted!

Vincent was a wild boy who showed up with open wounds and missing fur covered in mange. Super thin, he needed food and grooming, but luckily for this tough black cat, Catman Chris Poole knew how to get him strong and on his paws again. Now Vincent has a forever home and a family that loves him! That doesn’t sound unfortunate at all!
