Ben & Jerry’s presents delicious frozen dessert cups for your pup
Ben & Jerry’s, the Vermont-based ice cream company that brought us Chunky Monkey and Phish Food, has something new and exciting to introduce. The pastry chefs announced that their latest products are specifically aimed at our canine companions. That’s right, they sell frozen treats for dogs!
Ben & Jerry prides themselves on their dog-friendly work environment. You have several “K9 to 5” models that inspired this new line of products. A very Ben & Jerry’s-like description of the brand new dog-friendly frozen foods on the website is:
“Yip yip Hurray! Just when you thought we were only making taste fantasies come true for humans, we unleashed something really cool for pooches too! Inspired by our lovable mutt crew of K9-to-5’s, these frozen treats for dogs only are the greatest desserts that we have ever packed in nifty mini-cups. Whether you’re rewarding good pups or cooling off a yard full of party animals, we believe these are the best K9-est frozen goodies you can get for your four-legged friends. “

About Ben & Jerry’s Frozen Dog Treats
These frozen desserts come in mini-packs and multi-packs of 4 cups in case your buddy loves every last chilled bite. Your dog can enjoy two different types of Ben & Jerry treats: Rosie’s Batch and Pontch’s Mix.
“Rosie’s Batch” contains pumpkin, vanilla extract, and a variety of other fats and proteins. “Pontch’s Mix” tastes like a dog favorite, peanut butter. Both flavors contain wheat, soy, and milk. The full list of ingredients can be found on the Ben & Jerry website. The ingredients used are natural, but you should consult them in case of allergies.
While your dog may not particularly like this part, these treats come in the signature Ben & Jerry ice cream bins. How cute are these?

These products are expected to be available in grocery stores by the end of January 2021. So keep an eye out. In the meantime, we have some pretty good homemade dog treat recipes to check out. You can never spoil your pup too much!
These are not entirely ice
Because experts say dogs can only tolerate small amounts of dairy products, Ben & Jerry frozen dog foods have been designed to contain less. The company explains:
“… That is exactly why we have prepared Ben & Jerry’s Doggie Desserts with very limited amounts of dairy products so that they are completely safe for your dog. These frosty dog treats are made with sunflower butter, which is dog safe (and dog friendly). “
Dogs can safely consume sunflower butter. Ben & Jerry’s notes that technically these products are also safe for humans to get a taste of. But don’t forget how delicious you bought it for your pup too!
