Note, however, that fishing is permitted for children under the age of 12 and seniors over the age of 65. Tom Bass Park
You can drive approximately 13 miles from downtown Houston to wet a line in Tom Bass Park Lake. While many anglers land largemouth bass on the shores of Tom Bass Park Lake, the lake is also stocked with catfish and rainbow trout. This is another of the hippest urban fishing spots in Houston, especially for families.
Sheldon Lake State Park
